Since I'm Not Dressing Up for Halloween...

I'll totes be a crazy cat lady and dress up my cat instead.

Although I guess a scarf hardly qualifies as "dressing up." Can you guess who he's supposed to be?

Mr. Cation and I love Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock. And because we are in love with Walnut and think he's the awesomest ever, of course we see him as our favorite consulting detective.

I mean, aren't most cats more or less high-functioning sociopaths?

And of course, I had to include this quote, because I'm definitely Walnut's blogger.

Awww, the feeling's mutual, cat. Happy dress up day, everyone!

  3. Those high cheekbones and piercing eyes... Walnut practically IS Benedict Cumberbatch! Perfect costume! Funny too cause I just re-watched the last ep of season one the other day - source of the blogger quote. It's such a great show!
Happy Halloween to you and Mr Holmes!

    1. Hmm, I didn't even think about the cheekbones and the eyes! I was just busy thinking about his sociopathic tendencies! And man, those cliffhanger last episodes...

  4. Oh man, I love Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock sooooo much! The only reason I can forgive the delay of season three is that it's for the sake of The Hobbit.
    Walnut is seriously adorable.

    1. Seriously, if it were any other movie causing the delay, I wouldn't stand for it. Not that there would be anything I could do about it, of course, but you know...

  6. BWAH HA HA! I so love Sherlock and I'm glad Walnut was able to go to his mind palace. It's super important for a cat to have his solitude ;)

    1. I feel like cats are in their mind palaces every time they stare at nothing for an hour.

  7. I love him as Sherlock too; although I'd vote for Walnut as a replacement. :)

    1. I would totally watch a show about a cat detective...but then I totally watched a show about a dog detective when growing up (ever hear of the PBS show Wishbone?), so I guess it's not a stretch!

  11. This just makes me more eager to get my little kitten home (we're getting her home from the breeder on Dec 8), so I can dress it up to be even cuter. I am SO glad, that I'm not the only person who likes to drees up their pets. Walnut is such a good-loooking cat!

  14. LOL - love the photos and love the Sherlock quotes!

I didn't have the energy to finish my Kaylee costume this year, BUT one of the crew guys I'm working with dressed up as Jayne! His wife knit him a wonderful hat to complete his look. I'm only sad that I wasn't dressed up so we could have our picture taken together.

    1. Aww, too bad! You would make an awesome Kaylee. That's awesome that people are still dressing up as Jayne, though! Seriously, Firefly has the best characters.

  15. Oh Walnut... just when I think I can't love him more, I do lol :) I should totally dress up my cats next year but I'm afraid Starsky would not be nearly as good a sport lol
