Geek Dresses

If I were going to be famous for something in the sewing blogosphere, it would probably be making quirky dresses from geeky bed sheets that I find at the thrift store. Here's a gallery in case you want to find one quickly!

Clone Wars Dress

Star Wars Dress

Superman Dress

Batman Dress

And this last dress is geeky, but not because of the sheet's print:

  3. these are great! I've just been teaching myself to sew and I've started a similar project for my daughters. One Cinderella bedsheet dress and one Batman and Robin bedsheet dress. I'm learning as I go :)

  5. These are spectacular! I think that this kind of fabric is too awesome to be wasted on sheets, especially the Spiderman print.

I do not wish to be rude, but I feel obliged to point out that you have mislabeled your Superman dress.

  6. AMAZEBALLS! Just randomly landed on your page and am hooked. Love love LOVE these dresses. I just wish here in the UK the charity (thrift) shops were cooler - I've never found such awesome bedsheets outside of ebay. *sigh*

  7. Your dresses are so cool!! I never thought of using bed sheets of cartoon and super heroes for making dresses. In my case I would make tunic tops ( a little less intimidating).

  9. Your designs are great. I thought I was the only one in the universe who made clothes from old shirts. Glad I"m not alone. I'm partial to landscape sheets myself.
